Historical Report Cards On The Violations Of Civil Rights: Netherlands

This study is about the violations committed by the Netherlands which competed with the major Western states in colonization and for this cause colonize a vast geography from Indonesia to Suriname since its existence at the end of 16th century. The Netherlands, which prospered from the resources of the colonized countries for hundreds of years, implemented importation of foreign workers just as the other European countries did after World War II. This constitutes the foundations of the racist and discriminatory policies against the immigrants living in Europe today. Throughout our report you can read the violations committed by the Netherlands from colonization period to today in detail. However, it would be convenient to have a look at the process lived until today. The period from colonization to today is full of disgraceful applications of the West which claims itself to be the representative of civilization, freedom, welfare and peace. Today, when the problems of the world are examined well, it will be seen that with a great majority the source of these problems are aforementioned countries.

This study is about the violations of Germany which today became one of the most important political actors in the world again, despite that it was defeated in both World War I and II in 20th century. You can find many issues in this report, such as the policies of Germany in order to bring Islamic geography into its fold during the First World War, Nazi policies undid the world into a big disaster since 1930s, immigrant issue which started by the acceptance of foreign workers, integration policies, neo-Nazi organizations financed by German shadow government, questionable activities of German foundations in different countries, etc. But, it is convenient to browse first the process experienced until today.

This study is about the violations of U.S. which became a global power since the beginning of the 20th century. The U.S. have targeted Soviet and countries close to it via the statement of “the danger of communism” during the cold war period, and it has been targeted Islamic geography via the statement of “the danger of terror” after the cold war and especially 11 September. In this report, you can read about the violations of U.S. in every aspect of life from economics to law, from politics to media, from culture-art to health. But first we will look briefly the process experienced till today. Although the “Dark Continent” Africa has rich underground and over ground resources, today, Africa has turned out to be a continent in which many people die of hunger. The reason of that painful and desperate situation is the colonial movements and imperialist attacks of “The West”. Hegemonic power of Global System on political, economic, cultural and military decisions makes the things worst and drive Africa into chaos and thus many people die every year because of hunger, drought, epidemic and human/organ smuggling. İllegal gun and drug trade is very common in politically destabilized African and Asian countries.

Historical Report Cards On The Violations Of Civil Rights: İsrael

This study is about the violations of Israel which could manage to fit one of the most brutal massacres of human history into its short history that was not even a century old. Israel, which construes its presence by violence, and puts tension and war into the foundation of legitimacy, keeps tension high in the world, and especially in the Middle East. Israel does that by its policies instigating tension against changing world conjuncture. Meanwhile Israel continues its human violations in front of the world, global powers and international organizations ignore them and the way that international media organs, whose great majority is in the hands of Jewish capitalists, reflect the events indicates a serious manipulation and obscuration. You can read from our report the violations of Israel that have not been subjected to any serious sanction until today. But first we will look at the process experienced until now.

Who Waters Trees Of Gezi Park?

The events that were launched as a protest against the project which is planned to be started in Gezi Park and that prevailed over Turkey in following days harbor different dynamics in terms of its internal and external incentives. Demonstrations started upon sensitive attitudes of people to the city and environment in which they live acquired a different ground in following days and transformed into a national movement against the government. At that step, some points such as continuous and frequent explanations done by Western states regarding the process, interest of national and international media to the events and active use of social media became influential. In the focus of demonstrations lasting for three full weeks there appeared some objections like that governors hold a totalitarian understanding, lifestyles of people have been intervened and that social demands have not been taken into consideration. On the other hand, harsh intervention of security forces to demonstrators in especially first days of the protests caused a reaction among those segments of society who did not share the same views and thereby became influential in prevailing of the demonstrations. On the other hand, the claim that the protests are an operation of the global system that gets annoyed of that Turkey has been on increase recently in various fields was also voiced as a dominant view. We hope that this report that was prepared regarding the events by our committee’s observations and tried to deal with the process in different aspects makes a contribution in understanding of the process of Gezi Park. We give our condolences to families of those who lost their lives during the happenings in Gezi Park and wish speedy recoveries to all the injured security officers and demonstrators.

In Global Powers Grasp Lebanon

Lebanon that harbors a variety of religious, ethnic and sectarian groups experienced hard times due to French mandate and then prolonged civil war. Reconstruction process starting in the 90s was interrupted by an assassination which cannot be enlightened so far yet. I Want The Prosecution Of These States!

International Center for Watching Violation of Rights (UHIM) was founded in 2010 in Istanbul. UHIM has sat out for struggle against violations and institutions or organizations laying groundwork for violations in many areas of life ranging from politics to law, economics, culture and arts, ecology, health, media and education; which conducts its work in these areas by prepared reports, press releases, meetings and international organizations. With this understanding, UHIM mounting a new “Call to Account Movement”, has started the campaign by events “I want the prosecution of these states.” which are held in Taksim Metro Culture Center between 6, 8 April 2012. Lots of activities such as photograph exhibitions, conferences, a mobile orientation vehicle and a signature campaign are included in the events that are acclaimed and followed with great interest by the public. In the next process, the campaign will go ahead by similar studies to mold public opinion in Turkey. In international arena, the campaign “I want the prosecution of these states.” will be presented to the interest of World public opinion by press releases, meeting organizations and several activities in different countries.
